Wet Look Pencil Skirt

Here's another new photo-this skirt is a one-off item I made ages ago and have finally got round to photographing. It's made from super sleek and sexy black high shine wet look lycra and has an elasticated waist band that starts at the thinnest part of the waist. The fabric is stretchy and so feels more comfy to wear than you might expect. The skirt pulls in at the knee as well as the waist to accentuate curves and the skirt can be warn with a belt as it has 4 large size belt loops at the waistline.

It's available in a size 8/10 only, fitting a waist measurement of 24" up to 27" and a hip measurement of 34" up to 36".

It is a little baggy as I lost a little weight since I made it, but you just have to imagine how perfect it'd look on someone a couple of inches bigger! While we're on the zebra print theme, here's some more zebra-ey goodness. Black and off-white zebra print pencil skirt with high waist, made from the same thick jersey knit fabric as the zebra print leggings in my previous post! The jersey fabric is stretchy and comfortable and the waistband is elasticated to pull in the waist and emphasize curves.

I made a new pair of zebra print leggings today to replace my old pair which were one of my most highly sought after products but unfortunately my suppliers no longer stock the fabric :( They are quite different to the old pair but I do prefer them quite a bit as the zebra print is vertical as opposed to the usual horizontal stripes, the white is more of a cream/off-white and the print is much more "faded look" and rustic than the precise black and white zebra stripes of my old design. The leggings are also made from a thick jersey knit fabric making them much thicker and warmer than your standard cheap cotton leggings and ideal for winter.

Cherry Print Underbust Corset

I always forget how much I enjoy making corsets, it's not exactly my strongest point as I haven't had nearly as much practice as I have at most of my other items, but I do feel I've improved loads since I started out :) Since I found steel boning I've long ditched the crappy polyester boning and replaced it with the proper stuff and and my corsets are now made from 4 layers thickness of fabric to make them proper sturdy and robust. And now as all of my garments are made to fit the customers specified measurements, they can even select how loose or tight fitting they would like it made in the waist...

Punky Patchwork Leggings made out of scraps!

I went on a sewing frenzy last night and this morning making some crazy random patchwork leggings out of various different fabrics. The main aim was to get rid of enough fabric scraps to actually be able to close the draws of my fabric chest... Mission failed but at least it is looking a bit more respectable and is spewing less fabric all over the floor so I'm happy. Plus I now have 4 pairs of new leggings up for sale and I did have fun making them. I'm selling them in the sale section of my website as they are all one off items made to fit a uk size 10/12. Ohh and also both the back and front are different so you can wear them 2 different ways for 2 different looks :)

2 New Zipper Tops + 2 New Skirts

As always I'm really behind on this! Here are my new things from last week. There are two zip up bustier style tops in black and white stripe and black and blue peaspot, they both have halterneck straps and decorative lace up crosses on each side at the front and the black and white stripe has a black lacey trim around the bust and waist edges of the top. This has to be one of my favourites that I've made so far :)

I also added a couple of new skirts to my site last week in watermelon print and skulls and roses. The have stretchy black waistbands with decorative lace up ribbon detail and pleated rah rah style lower half.

Okay much later than promised here is my new watermelon print dress. (I suck at keeping up to date on this thing). It has a fitted upper half and big tutu style lower half. It has a zipper fastening at the front and instead of the usual lace up corset front, it has 2 big black bows on the hips.

Another recent addition is this black version of my earlier cream skulls and roses post. I couldn't decide which colour print I liked best so thought I'd do both.

Here's my most recent dress, I actually made it about a month ago, but only just got round to photographing it as I've been overloaded with orders this month! I also got an order for this dress the day I listed it on my website, so yay! The dress is made from gothic cream coloured skulls and roses printed fabric and the top half has a fitted bodice type thing, made from 5 panels, with a zipper fastening at the front and a v shaped scoop in the middle and there's a lace up ribbon panel overlapping the zip. The lower half is in a tutu style with lots of gathers and pleats and black netting at the bottom.

I've just finished another new dress in watermelon print which will I will hopefully have pictures for within the next couple of days!

Here's my latest dress! It's made from the same stretchy black cotton with multicoloured bows print as the skirt in yesterdays post. It has a fitted upper half with black spaghetti straps that cross over at the back. The lower half is flowy with a black lace trim around the bottom edge and a blue-green ribbon around the waist which you can tie into a big bow at the front.

Been working on lots of new things this week! Here are my favourites....I made these with only 2 hours sleep and an epic hangover, so I was extremely pleased with how well they turned out! The camo top is fitted and has a halter neck strap and front zipper fastening that comes completely open. There are decorative eyelets at the front, threaded with black ribbon that comes to a bow at the bottom edge of the top. The matching mini skirt also comes completely open at the front zipper, it has two pockets at the back, large size belt loops and matching lace up detail at the front.

Here's my latest top, it is a fitted bustier style top made from black simulation leather, with a halter neck strap and a front zipper fastening that comes completely appart. There are silver metallic decorative strips which reach from the back around the bust and waist. The bottom edge of the top goes down to two points which turn up and meet in the middle at the zip.

2 New Zipper Tops and PVC Skirt!

I've made a few new things this week. I decided I have a lot of corsets but not many actual tops or t shirts, so I thought I'd make some tops. The first is a fitted halter neck top made from red and black striped cotton with a front zipper fastening that comes right undone. The second is the same design but in pink camo print.

The other thing I made is this black and white PVC skirt. It's fitted and tight with panels of black at the front and back and white at the sides. The front has a zipper fastening and there are contrasting belt loops around the waist. It is pictured here with the matching lace up PVC corset that I made several months ago.

New Velvety Gothy Clothes

I've had absolutely no motivation or inspiration whatsoever lately. There was a week where I had like a million orders and that was a good week and now I'm having like no orders which is bad. So I decided to break through the non-inspiration thing and design some new stuff. I still can't decide if I actually like them, I guess they're not very me, but other people might like them :)

There are two tops in black velvet with red or purple panels in the middle and down the sleeves, which have gothic black ribbon lace up panels over the top and flaired sleeves at the ends. The skirts are stretchy and well fitting, made with 2 panels of black and 2 panels or red or purple, the back coloured panel is overlapped with matching black ribbon lace up section.

Orders have picked up this last week so I'm happy :) and still trying to find time to blip out some new designs as well. I'm hoping to make a new corset today as soon as my bed allows me to get up. Here's my latest one from a few days ago...It's made from pinky/purpley sparkly, metallic PVC. It is slightly more pink than in the pictures, but only just. And it has the usual lacing up front and back with black ribbon, allowing a wide adjustability.

New Underbust Corset and Top

I made a couple of new things the other day, but as business is quite slow in January I'm having to make do with the fabrics I have leftover rather than buying any more new stuff. So I made a black pvc underbust corset with eyelets and black ribbon lace up front and back. And a black velour long sleeved top, with black mesh sleeves and black ribbon that ties into a bow under the bust. The front and back have dangly fairy bits and so do the sleeves.

New Aprons and Tops

Here are a few more new things I've been working on here and there. I made an apron as a xmas present for someone and found it quite enjoyable so thought I'd make some alternativey ones for my website. They have a big front pocket, black neck loop bit and black tie up straps and so far I've done them in bright pink tattoo fabric (matching my dress!) a multi coloured checkered fruits fabric with limes, cherries and apples and cream coloured cakes and cupcakes print!

And then there are a couple of things I made ages ago but only just got round to photographing. There's a soft stretchy leopard print top with crossover straps and a black gothic long sleeved top with stars splatter bleach and paint design.

2 New Rah-Rah Style Dresses

So I've been feeling pretty horrendously miserable this week and have been moping and not feeling much like doing any work, but Monday and Tuesday I forced myself to get on with some new stuff. I did two new rah-rah dresses, one in bright pink cotton with oldskool tattoo print, whcih includes cherries, mermaids, dice, roses, skulls and more. It has three tiers of thick black netting, black ribbon around the bust, decorative black bows on the front and zipper fastening at the back.

The second I think might be my favourite dress so far. It's made from black and red polka dot (ladybird style) print cotton with three tiers of netting, decorative lace up corset style on the front, two decorative black bows and a zipper fastening at the back. Both dresses have a halter neck strap.

I had an interesting Christmas break and am glad to be back to work, this week I've started on punk baby clothes! I think this is an area that hasn't been explored as much as it should, the only cool stuff I ever can find are just printed onesies with band names, logos and random "funny" slogans, so I thought I'd make some baby stuff in my own alternativey style. So I made the baby grows myself and then decorated and stylised.

There are 4 different skully designs, the first is plain black with red, white and silver paint splatter and individually sewn on skulls with red glitter eyes. Then there is a grey and black stripe baby grow with sewn on skulls and crossbones. A plain black with hand painted "jolly roger" pirate skull and white paint splatter. And lastly a pink and black grow with hand painted jolly roger pirate patch.

Here are my latest 2 underbust corsets. The first is made from black and white spider web fabric with tiny red glitter spiders, there is a widely adjustable lace up fastening and the front and also at the back. The corset is fully boned and is designed to take the waist in by 2-3 inches. The second is the same design made in gorgeous deep wine coloured spider web fabric with bits of glitter in the actual fabric.

This is the most fun I've had in a while! I saw someone's post on Diyscene about bleach painting and I thought "why have I never thought of that?!" and so I thought I'd have a go and I love it! I messed around with it for a bit and then decided to get some paints involved aswell and stitching some extra bits on. While I love designing clothes, it doesn't allow me to show as much expressiveness or personality as art, which was always the thing I was strongest at. So now I've found a way of combining my love of making alternative clothing and being a bit more expressive and crazy at the same time. So here are my first few t shirts in this style!

Here are my two latest skirts, these are actually my favourite skirts out of my whole range except for the gothic fishtail one. They are fitted mini skirts with zipper fastening at the front which comes completely open and black pockets at the back and big black belt loops which can fit a small or larger width belt. The second one is my favourite and I decided to keep the original to wear as a rare treat to myself :)

I'm still ridiculously behind on posting my latest work! Here are a couple of skirts from 2 weeks ago. There's a high waisted pencil skirt made from soft stretchy cotton in purple and black stripes with sexy black bondage straps with eyelets at the back. Then there's a mini skirt version of the first one, made from grey and black stripe cotton with elasticated waistband and black and silver stud bondage straps at the back. Being more of a mini skirt person, I personally prefer the second one :)

New Long Sleeved Gothic Tops

I've been working on so much new stuff lately, I've gotten really behind with updating my blog and now I'm up to my shoulders in orders to make which is very exciting as things haven't been this good in a while!

Thought I'd show the latest long sleeved tops first as they are the oldest...so first we have a long sleeved black gothic lace top with stretchy semi see-through lace sleeves and centre panel with black ribbon lace up over the top. Next there's a long sleeved top made from big "pot hole" style fishnet with black cotton spike shapes covering the bust and midriff. I think this is one of the most unusual and creative pieces I've come up with in a while and it seems to be the fave overall so far. 2 New Dresses

Two new dresses this week. The first is a similar style to the leopard print strappy dress in my last post. It has a fitted top half made from stretchy black velour fabric and a flowy lower half in black and white polka dot cotton, with matching polka dot straps and detail around the bust. The dress also has a black ribbon trim around the bottom edge and black ribbon sewn to the sides which is then brought to a bow at the front to cinch the waist.

The second is a re-make of my previously top selling black and white music print dress. Unfortunately my supplier stopped making the fabric I used to use for the dress and so had to switch to this new fabric, which is actually a better quality and I think looks nicer than the old. For ages I've just been using a link to an image of the fabric as I hadn't bothered to make a dress for myself to model, but finally got round to it yesterday.

New Pencil Skirts and Cute Dress :)

Here are the other new things I've been working on. There are two high waisted pencil skirts in stretchy black and white polka dot cotton and stretchy black and white skulls lace with cotton. Both have an elasticated waistband which starts at the thinnest part of the waist and reaches just above kneelength where the skirt goes in to emphasise curves. The other is a cute flowy strappy dress made from black and leopard print velour. It has matching black straps, decorative black lacey trim around the bottom and a big black ribbon sewn on at the sides, which can be brought into a bow at the front.

Gothic Long Sleeved Tops

I've been wanting to make some new items for a while now, but every time I attempt to go into town to buy fabric, it suddenly starts raining so hard that I can't actually see and I end up with make up all over my face and decide I don't want to grace the nice people at the fabric store with my hideous presence and so turn back. I should really invest in an umbrella...

So anyway I finally managed to get there and back without getting wet and so have been blasting out new designs. The first is a long sleeved top made from stretchy black cotton with red and black skeletons lace. There is a big black ribbon which starts round the back and you can tie up at the front to make a cute decorative bow. Then there's a sexy gothic black cotton and black fishnet long sleeved top with a lace up panel at the front and lastly a black cotton top with black and white polka dot sleeves and a white corset-style lace up front.

New Corset Dresses and Skirts!

I've been making a few more new things this week. First there's another corset skirt in navy vintage look tattoo print cotton, which a friend suggested would be cool. So there's the usual stretchy cotton waistband with rah-rah style lower half and adjustable navy ribbon corset style lace up front.

Then we're got an elegant black fishtail skirt which goes in at the knee and splays out at the bottom. The skirt has an elasticated waistband and is made from strechy black velour. I actually really love this skirt, it's very comfortable and looks pretty. And the bit where it goes in at the knee isn't so tight that it makes you look stupid when you walk (as some skirts do), which is always a bonus...

My new dresses consist of a cute gothic black satin corset dress and a black and white beetlejuice stripe style corset dress. They both have halterneck straps, zipper fastenings at the back, two tiers of fabric, 3 tiers of black netting, decorative lace up corset style detail and decorative black bows at the front. They are both roughly 27" long from bust to bottom of the dress and finish about half way down the thigh-just above the knee.

I just realised that I haven’t posted about my new website yet. I’m desperately trying to nicely guide all of my customers and visitors over to my new website so that I can get rid of the old one fairly soon and only have to pay for the new one. Why the change? Well my current site is run by bigcartel who only allow 100 products maximum, which has really been my downfall over the past 6 months or so, as I’ve had to keep deleting old products for the new to replace. But now thankfully I’m able to have as many products as I like which is brilliant. There’s just the problem that not many people get to see them yet.

I think the new site actually looks quite good, it's pretty, explanatory and easy to navigate. Hopefully it wont take too long to get it up in search engines.

Halloween Devil Corset

Without doubt the sexiest corset I've made so far! It's made from bright red PVC, fully boned with strips of black PVC along the seams. This corset has unique ‘devil-style’ spikes at the front on the bust. There is a zipper fastening at the back and it is decorated with black lace trim around top and bottom edges. The length at the front in the middle is approximately 14" and 16" where the spikes are. Available in sizes 6 to 18 from my new website.

Please note: This corset really pulls the waist in tightly to create sexy curves. The measurements stated are the regular measurements for that specific size and not the measurements for corset size. Cherry Print Corset Dress

I haven't done any new dresses for a while, so thought I'd make this one. Though I've only just realised I only have about 6 or 7 different dresses left that I still actually make so need to get on and design some more soon.

This is a halter neck corset dress made with red and black cherry print cotton with 3 tiers of black netting. On the front there is a decorative corset style lace up panel and there's a zipper fastening at the back. The dress is decorated with a big black ribbon around the bust line and black ribbon bows on the lower half of the dress.

These pictures don't really do the dress much justice as they were taken in the afternoon when the light isn't very good in my flat, but I'll try and get some better ones done soon.

Another new corset. This is my Red Zebra Double Fastening Corset made from black PVC with two strips of red and black zebra print faux fur at the front. In the center at the front is a zipper fastening, on top of which is a thick black ribbon lace up panel. (Hence the "double fastening".) Black & White Skulls Skirt

Here’s my latest black and white skulls skirt. The fabric appealed to me because the skulls are a kind of faded/washed look skulls which is a lot nicer than some of the tacky skulls print fabrics out there. The skulls have tiny red eyes which (you probably can’t tell from the image) are actually a glittery red. But as they are so small, it looks more pretty rather than over the top.

The waistband is made from stretchy black cotton so will fit easily and comfortably and there is a corset style lace up decorative bit on the front, which is actually adjustable so also helps to ensure that the skirt will fit well. I used silver eyelets with this pretty white organdie ribbon because I thought it went well with the fadedness of the skulls fabric.

And the lower half is the skulls fabric with a layer of black cotton underneath. The length is approximately 15" and this skirt is available in sizes 6-28 from my new My Little Halo Alternative Clothing Online Store.

It’s been almost a month since I last wrote! I don’t really have an excuse other than that I’ve been preparing to move house and so thought I’d leave the designing of new things until that’s all done. But I did get the chance a few days ago to knock this one up.

It’s a boned under bust corset/waist belt type thing made from pink leopard print faux fur with silver eyelets and lace up front and back. It’s quite a pretty one I think and it can nip the waist in by a couple of inches. I added a black lace trim around the top and bottom edges which I think is a nice finishing touch.

I’m thinking about adding quite a few more corsets like this to my range. Any opinions or ideas on what fabrics you’d like see will be well received.

New Star Print Mini Corset Skirt

About 6 months ago I made a new skirt in a black and white star print cotton with black netting, which I quite liked but it was quite a night mare to make and in the end I decided that the price I was selling it for barely covered the expense of materials, fabrics and the time used to make it. Since discontinuing this item I seem to have had quite a lot of interest in it and so I thought I should make a similar skirt using the same star print fabric to replace it….

Okay so it’s not THAT similar but my biggest problem with the old skirt was that it had a fitted waistband instead of a stretchy one like the majority of my skirts. This meant that unless my customers get a tape and measure themselves before buying it, it was unlikely that it would fit. So this new version has the easy fit waistband with a corset style front and the rah-rah style bottom half. I’m hoping this one proves as popular as the last, but I do have my doubts, mainly because the last one stood out in being a mini mini skirt, whereas this one isn’t quite as sexy. Oh well, I guess we’ll see.

The problem with clothes sizes and the rise in obesity rant

I thought I’d have a quick rant about the problem with sizing when it comes to selling clothes…

As you’d expect, being a small independent company, my clothes sizing differs slightly from all the massive chain stores in the UK. In fact I’m sure even the big stores all differ somewhat in the measurements they would consider to be each size. However people-customers seem oblivious to this fact and so when they buy from me, they ignore the measurements that come with the stated size and just go with whatever size they consider themselves to be in the mainstream stores.

And then there’s the sensitive issue of the rise in obesity and the possibility that customers might see my sizing guide as not very generous compared to other guides. And they might not want to buy the size that fits their measurements just because it is bigger than the size they usually fit because this will make them feel bad about themselves.

This causes massive problems for me because I absolutely cannot afford to be handing out refunds or exchanges every which way. It just loses me money. Yes, even exchanges because even though the customer only ends up with one item, I have to shed out twice the amount of money for the materials and not to mention the time! Then there’s always the question of how soon someone will come along and want to buy the original item so that I can make up the money lost.

This is the biggest stressor in my line of work, because while I can’t afford to let the customers walk all over me and allow myself to lose money for their mistake, I’m too honest a person to just keep their money and say words to the effect of "tough luck, choose your sizing more carefully next time." And that’s terrible custom, I want them to come back to me, I don’t want them to feel ripped off or scammed out of their money. Because that’s not what I’m trying to do at all!

I just don’t know what to do. This has been an issue for me right from the very start. The biggest problem is that most people don’t have a handy tape measure ready for measuring before they shop for clothes, most people are unaware of their measurements and so they go with what they know and what they know is their big chain stores, their standard size in those stores and the fact that those stores can more than afford to offer a refund or exchange system.

New Website Layout

This morning I decided to completely makeover my website as I was getting pretty fed up with it and was at a loss as to how to improve it the way it was. Having next to no skill when it comes to graphic design and photoshop, everything I tried always seemed to look amateur or half-assed. I also think having so many colours and pictures on the homepage was possibly quite distracting from the actual products and most likely caused the page to load slower anyway. So now I’ve gone back to the basic original layout with a simple banner and a not too overpowering background. Hopefully this will re-spark interest! Anyway feel free to let me know what you think!

The last skirt I think is my favourite that I’ve made so far. It has the same stretchy waistband with decorative red ribbon lace up detail on the front and the lower half is made from this gothic black stretch lace netting with red skeletons and crosses, layered over black cotton. The red sort of shimmers in the light and is really pretty. This one is also 16" and will be available in the same size range:6-24.

Green Spider Web Skirt : )

The second skirt I made recently is this one...black and green spider web skirt. It is pretty much the same as my red and pink versions of this skirt, only instead I have used black over green cotton, as opposed to green netting over black....Mainly because the netting doesn’t come in green, but I actually think I prefer it this way anyway. There is also a layer of black cotton beneath the green, so there are actually 3 layers to make up the lower half. As always the top waistband bit is made from stretchy cotton and has decorative matching fluorescent green ribbon lace up panels ending in bows. The length of this skirt is approximately 16" and will also be available in sizes 6 to 24 on my website and in my ebay store.

Self pitying rant

I’m feeling pretty depressed, everything seems to be a struggle at the moment. For a while everything was so perfect, I have great friends, a wonderful boyfriend, a roof over my head, and best of all, I was finally starting to be successful at what I do.

Now everything is changing. My best friend is moving away, miles and miles away, I’ll be living alone, away from my other friends and worst of all I’m no longer being successful at what I do.

My friends often offer words of comfort such as “we are in the middle of a recession you know!” but I can’t help feeling like I’ve done something wrong. How can it go so dramatically from one end to the other? Being self employed is great and I love living with the knowledge that I’m earning money to support myself and live off, from a business that I’ve built completely from scratch. But I swear the lack of stability will never stop causing me trauma!

I know that this is what I should expect. I know that to make something like this truly successful, it takes years and years of hard work and commitment. And I know that the majority of people in the western world tend to give up on something if it doesn’t work straight away, they expect everything to be easy or to be done for them. I also know that very few people have as much dedication or determination as I do. But you have to wonder, how long will it be, how many years of feeling this amount of worry and panic every time sales are slow before I reach the next level? Before I feel a bit more comfortable? Does it ever actually end?

New Emerald Green Boned Corset Top and Matching Belt

Finally got a couple of new items to show...an emerald green corset belt, with a layer of black floral lace available in sizes 6-26! And a matching black pvc and emerald green corset top. I now have this belt, my black/white stars corset belt and my black PVC corset belts all avaialble in plus sizes 18 up to 26 from my website, and a wider range in my ebay shop.

The top is made mainly from PVC panels but with two emerald and lace panels on each side at the front. There are 4 strips of boning on the front and the top is fully lined with sofrt cotton. I added two black ribbon bows on the bust, a PVC halter neck strap and pretty black lace trimming aroun the bottom edge. This top has a zipper fastening at the back. For the time being this top will only be available from my website in sizes 6-16.

I've been so busy lately, purely making orders. I've hardly had any time to come up with any new designs. And I've also had to find the time to make myself a smart-ish dress for my boyfriend's sister's wedding. Anyway, as I have nothing else new for sale to show, I thought I'd show you the dress I made.

It's quite plain and simple but took me aggggeeeesss! I'm not used to working with satin and the style is completely different to most of the dresses I sell. The top half is fitted with crossover straps and handstitched detail around the bust. The bottom half is loosely fitting with a really pretty sequin trimming around the waist.

Brand New Strapless Stars Prom Dress

So I'm stuck seriously behind with orders again :( On Friday I didn't really have enough materials to buy online so I thought I would wait until more orders hd come in before I ordered, then Saturday the phonelines were closed so I figured-just wait until Monday and get a lift into town with my friend. Then Monday comes and the car wont start. So I had to order by phone and here I am waiting around again for my fabric to arrive. Hmmmph.

In the meantime, here's (at last) the dress I was on about a while ago. The top half of the dress is a strapless fitted bodice in black cotton with white star print design, consisting of 7 different panels and a zipper fastening in the middle at the back. The bottom half consists of two tiers of the star print fabric with several layers of stiff white netting helping to create that "ra-ra" effect. The finishing touch is the two decorative big white bows on either side at the front.

I decided to make this dress because after several hours a day of browsing the "fashion and accessories" category in Yahoo Answers, I realised that while the vast majority of girls on there are currently searching far and wide for the perfect prom in the perfect colour to suit their complexion, or their eye, or their hair colour, there are the odd few who hate wearing dresses and don't want to have to change their style or pretend to be something that they are not, these few were looking for a prom dress more suited to their style and personality, something a bit more "rocky," "emo" or "alternative." And while most people very unhelpfully seemed to respond with comments such as "urgh, no proms are meant to be pretty not emo" I started to think about how I could help these people find what they are looking for. And well this was the first thing I came up with, black and white because it's smart, but printed instead of plain, something that stands out as being a bit different. If I sell any of these then I'll start thinking up some more. Although I should probably hurry as most proms will be coming up over the next few months!

Waking up early morning is my very favourite time of day, partly because I sleep beneathe the window in my ceiling, so often I wake to see the sunshine and partly because (on the good days) I awake to some clothes orders. I'm very happy today as I woke up to orders for my strawberry dress, mardi gras masks dress, black holes cropped jacket, green floral lace halter neck corset top and some earrings! And the sun is still shining :)

I've been so busy making orders all week and still trying to fit in designing and making new things aswell. I tend to start something, then get an order, then come back to it, get another order and so on. So progress is slow. I'm working on a new dress, I wont give too much away until it's finished and the pictures are ready but I hope it's going to be a seller! Also on the way should be a couple more skirts, as I seem to be selling a lot particularly in my ebay shop! Hopefully I'll have these done by the end of today but the only problem at the moment is that my photographer is in France. So do I wait a week for his return or do I persuade my boyfriend to visit me and help me out with the risk of less good photos? Hmmmmmm..

Here’s another new design from this week. It’s a similar bustier type top in quite a gothic style, made from panels of shiny black PVC and panels of black lace. The zipper fastening as at the front so can be adjusted to be revealing to one’s taste. Black loops run down either side of the front forming a decorative “lace up” panel over the zipper and decorative black lace trimming framing the top and bottom edges of the bustier.

Small Stars Strapless Bust Top

I’ve been away far too long! To be honest I haven’t had that much new exciting stuff to show for a while. But I’m back today with a new top. It’s a bustier style top made from a front panel of black and white stars cotton, then either side are panels of black floral lace over black cotton, another star panel and then black lace at the back. There is a zipper fastening at the back and decorative black lace trimming framing the top and bottom edges of the bustier.

Short Sleeved Slashes T Shirts

Today I'm going to write about my Short Sleeved Slashes T Shirt range. They may seem like a fairly simple design but they sell really well, well at least they have been selling really well in black, in fact both my short and long sleeved black slashes tops sell very well, but I thought it was time to add a bit more colour considering summer is coming up.

The colourful two were taken yesterday, the black one was taken last year when I was quite a lot thinner!

Notice the matching trousers! I love them, I'm not sure if anyone else would actually find them as appealing as I do, (I do seem to have quite odd taste) but I might wait and see if I get anyone asking if they're for sale or general positive feedback about them before I decide whether to list them for sale. I think they would be great to wear to gigs/concerts/clubs, these are the times I miss my old band because I used to love compiling outfits like these to wear at our gigs! Anyway I'm rambling, clearly haven't slept enough, I'll be back soon with more new things!

New Satin Underbust Corset

So yesterday I randomly got the inspiration and motivation to make a corset. (An underbust corset mind, so not quite as tricky!) Anyway here it is, pretty quick if you ask me! Normally I have to wait around a week before my photographer is free, but now his interviews are all done so I can get my stuff up much quicker, yay!

It's made from lovely black satin, two main sections which completely come appart. The back and the front are identical, both lace up, with lots of boning on front and back.

If people actually show some interest then I'll start making a series of these in more exciting colours and prints.

White/Black Floral Corset Top

Another new corset top today, well I say "new," it's actually another of the floral lace design-in black and white. The last colour I'm doing this one in. Right now I'm listing it in my EBAY STORE along with the bright green and the red and I guess soon enough we'll see which colour is most popular. I'm also making this one in PLUS SIZES 18-24.

Black Stars Skirt

Today’s image is of the star print skirt that I think I may have mentioned planning to make some time ago, but it has taken me this long to photograph it because initially I wasn’t happy with the length and had to make a few changes. It has a fitted waistband with a zipper fastening and tutu style bottom half, with layers of very stiff black netting underneath the stars fabric, causing it to lift the fabric and give it that “tutu” effect.

Faux Fur Zebra Print Corset Top

The next corset top is actually one I made well over a year ago, around the same time as the green floral lace corset top, but I thought it could do with a reshoot, so here we have my faux fur zebra print halter neck corset top, (quite a mouthful!!) made from the same soft faux fur fabric, with white lace up front, black halter neck strap and zipper at the back.

I need to know what you guys think of this one! Is zebra print still popular these days? Or is it dying out? I seem to be getting fewer orders for my once top-selling faux fur zebra print dress. Is it time I let go of the animal print?
