One of a kind stuff!

This week I had fun making some more new stuff! First up is a pair of super sexy pair black and gold wet look studded leggings, featuring panels of metallic gold lycra and studded black faux leather with gold pyramid studs and rounded studs to match the lycra and plain glossy black wet look backs. I initially intended for these to be a one of a kind pair of leggings as I just wanted to use up the last of my gold studs, but since they got so much love on facebook I decided to stock up on the studs and make them a repeat item available custom made to fit. So I've listed them as coming soon.

I also started work on a new dress design idea for a denim corset dress as a lot of the corset dresses on my website are very old and outdated so I'm planning on replacing them with newer much better things! Anyway I liked how it turned out but wasn't happy enough with the technique I used which was more time consuming than I would have liked for a dress that I plan to make as a repeat item, so decided to re-think it a little before releasing it and chose to list this one as a one of a kind item of clothing. I was more than a little pleased to see that it sold almost the instant I posted the image on my facebook page and I have now re-designed the dress in a similar style and am confident that people will like it just as much, if not more :)

With the original corset dress I was going for a rocker chick style look with a mixture of toughness and cuteness rolled into one. It was made with a fitted denim body using semi stretch denim for comfortable wearing and the front features a halter neck strap, zip fastening and black faux leather with silver eyelets and lace up front. The back also features a lace up panel with black ribbon and the skirt part of the dress was made of of two tiers of denim and black lace in gathers. Lastly I added some eye studs to the strap and a couple of silver studs on the front, just to add a bit more excitement.

Lastly I thought I'd challenge myself to making something new from fabric scraps which is always fun as I get to kill two birds with one stone by making a bit of a dent in the ever growing pile of fabric that is starting to consume my work space and I (hopefully) end up with something cool too! At least this time I did anyway! I love these one of a kind leggings, they are made with black lycra which is super snug and moulds to fit the body like a glove, with cut away panels filled with black fishnet and panels of black wet look. The front is decorated with black strips of faux leather studded with an assortment of various silver studs including round studs, star shaped studs and large pyramid studs. Yet again I was mega chuffed when they sold the instant I posted them to facebook!

NEW!! Top, Skirt & Dress!

I have been working on a few new bits this week. First up is a gothic/burlesque style corset top in red satin, overlaid with black lace and lined with black cotton. The top has a halter neck strap, front zip fastening that opens right out and a black ribbon lace up corset style front panel. The bust and lower hem are finished with black lace trim. This corset top is now available on my website in regular and plus size!

Next is a cute new zebra print mini skirt made with a black stretch cotton waistband, gathered black and pink zebra print lycra over an underskirt of black lace which is finished with a lace trim. The waistband features large silver eyelet strips with bright pink lace up corset style front. This skirt is available in regular and plus size from the punky skirts section of my website.

And lastly, this dress was actually a custom order that got lost in the post, and after sending a replacement, the original turns up at my door. So I added the pre-made dress to my sale and it sold right away but I also added it as a regular item to my website available to regular and plus size from the long sleeved dresses part of my site. It will only be around for as long as fabric stocks last though!

Green Stripe Leggings & Pink Leopard Glam Leggings!

Last week I made a new one of a kind pair of pink leopard print leggings with black and white stars, which somehow sold before I even got round to posting them on facebook or anywhere else! I was quite impressed with that actually : ) Anyway when I did post it on facebook they seemed to get quite a lot of love, so I decided to make some similar as a regular item, for sale from the leggings section of my site. They are slightly different to the original but I think I prefer them to be honest. The upper body bit on the front is made from pink sparkly leopard print, with alternating panels of pink leopard and black and white star print overlaid onto black spandex lycra. The back is plain black and the lycra fabric is really stretchy and moulds to fit the legs like a glove!

And also from this week I have another new pair in green and black! I love the combination of bright green and black and I have no idea why I haven't done more stuff like this. They are also made from black spandex lycra with panels of vertical fluorescent green and black stripes decorating the front at alternate diagonal angles. Both pairs are available in regular and plus size from my shop. The photos didnt come out very well, they dont accurately show how bright they are, but take it from me-they are fluorescent!

Band Tee Leggings/Skulls n Roses Dress

Another new hooded dress top! I saw this awesome fabric and couldn't resist making another : ) It's made with cream and grey skulls and roses print cotton with black sleeves and skull patterned cuffs and a big snuggly hood, lined with black cotton. This dress top is now available for sale to regular and plus size from the long sleeved dresses section on my website.

New one of a kind pair of leggings, they are an asymmetrical design made from a reconstructed AC/DC tee I was given but never got round to wearing before it turned cold, black spandex lycra and silver glittery star print lycra. These leggings also have studded strips of black faux leather on the front with round studs as well as pyramid studs. They are a size 8/10 and available to buy from the custom clothing section of my website.

New One Of a Kind Top plus Skulls Leggings!

I was bored yesterday and decided to treat myself to making a new one of a kind piece of clothing, which is always the thing I find most exciting and enjoyable to do. It's a studded bustier style top in red tartan and black and red cherries print in alternating panels. The front features black faux leather straps studded with silver pyramid studs and an adjustable lace up fastening with large silver eyelets. The back has more faux leather studded straps that cross over and the halter neck strap has a large silver buckle fastening that can be adjusted to fit.

It is a UK size 10/12 and the full measurements and details are listed on my website under the one offs and custom clothing area of my site.

New pair of leggings! I wasn't sure whether these would be a one of a kind pair or a regular item for all sizes, but after getting such a good response on facebook, decided to make them available made to fit, for regular and plus size. They are made from black cotton lycra with slanted panels of black and white skull and crossbones print and polka dot print on the front. As they are made from cotton they are super soft and comfy to wear. They are available to buy from the tights and legging section of my website.

More Wintery Wear :)

I have made a couple more wintery style things this week. First off, after years and years of my parents hassling me to wear a coat because I'll "catch a chill", but refusing to because a)they are expensive and I don't often treat myself to new things and b)I can never find any coats that I even like, I finally took the time to make myself one. ANNNNDD I like it! It's a cropped coat made from black cotton and lined with black fleece, the hood is also lined with fleece which feels lovely on my head. It's sort of like wrap around, with adjustable silver buckle fastenings and large silver eyelets for decoration. But it's also joined at the bottom, so it's more of a pullover than a coat. I made it short/cropped to emphasize my waist as I hate how frumpy and unsexy coats normally make me feel. I know, I know what you're thinking..."She'll still catch a chill with her midriff on show like that"....WRONG! I only shot the photos like this to make it clear that it is cropped, however it can, and will be warn with other clothes underneath. It's just a lot easier to see the actual length of it without clothes underneath, since all my clothes are black.

Anyway I'm waffling now...This took me agggesss! Although I haven't figured out yet if that's because of the design or whether it's simply that I haven't made any coats before, so once I've had a bit more practice, I would be up to speed a bit better. I'm thinking the latter. So I'm still in the process of deciding whether to list it for sale on my website or not, due to the time/money involved. However I had a lot of positive feedback when I posted the pic on facebook last night, so maybe I will...

And I made another long sleeved hooded dress top, similar to my tartan hooded dress top from my previous post. This one is also made from black cotton with panels of black and white skull and crossbones print cotton on the front and back. There's a big panel on the back to add warmth and thickness. Oh and I added a cute front pocket and extra strips of skulls on the sleeves. And the bottom hem or the dress as well as the sleeves are cuffed.

New Studded Leggings & Fishtail Skirt

Right I've finally designed a new awesome pair of unique leggings that are going to be available made to order rather than just one of a kind. AND these are available for plus sizes too! They are made from black wet look and sparkly glitter silver star print lycra. They have black faux leather strips on the front which are studded with rounded silver studs. I really love this design and hope my customers will too!

Purple Gothic Fishtail Skirt

Also this week I decided to add another colour option to my range of gothic fishtail skirts, I love this purple spandex velour fabric so thought I'd see how that would look. It's slim fitting from waist down to the knee and flares out at the bottom, hence the fishtail. Though I prefer to think of it as a mermaid tail as they are a lot nicer than fish!

And lastly I made another one of a kind pair of leggings in a similar design to some of my recent one off pairs, made from black wet look with panels of stretch denim, studded of course, and black and white skulls print fabric. My supplier has discontinued this fabric recently so I thought I'd make use of the scraps I have left. They are a size 8/10 and you can view the full details and measurements to fit on my website.

I seem to have disappeared off the radar these past few weeks, things have gotten so busy I've been shackled to my machines constantly, hence my lack of bothering to post anything on here :( Anyway-catch up time, here are a few of my latest designs....

Rainbow Stripe Tutu Dress

This dress is made from multicoloured striped cotton with a fitted body featuring zipper front fastening and big decorative black bow and lace trim on the bust. The tutu part is made up of two tiers of stripe cotton and black lace. I love this dress! It may be a bit bright for some people's tastes, but I've always had a thing for rainbow coloured stuff! It makes me think of sweets and makes my eyes feel happy.

It's available custom made especially to fit for regular and plus size from the corset dresses and tutu dresses section of my website.

Punk Studded Tartan/Wet Look Leggings

These punk style leggings are one of kind and made from black glossy wet look lycra with panels of red tartan print and black studded faux leather. They are a UK size 8/10 and available to buy from the one of a kind clothing section of my site.

Leopard Print Lace Up Pencil Skirt

Lastly another lace up pencil skirt-I just love making these, I think they are super sexy! It's made from black wet look lycra with leopard print velour down the sides and black ribbon lace ups on top. It's available in regular and plus size and you can find it under pencil skirts!

I've been having such a hectic time lately, juggling sewing orders, making new things and doing a load of internet stuff for my website, I've barely had time to stop and do anything else, much in need of a day off I think :) But for now here are a couple of new tops from this week.

This first top is a one of a kind punk style studded denim vest top. It has a lace up front fastening which can be adjusted to fit and is decorated with studded strips of faux leather, star print and wet look, with a studded mini pocket on one side. The back features crossover faux black leather straps studded with silver pyramid studs. I think this is a first, as it's already sold. Dont think I've ever sold something before I even got a chance to write about it, but hey, wanted to show it off anyways!

This top is available handmade to fit many sizes! It's quite similar to one of my one of a kind tops that had a lot of positive feedback and also disappointed people who wanted it to be available in more sizes. Well this one I can make to fit up to a bust of 48 inches! Yes that's right, I even made it available to plus sizes too :) It's made from black wet look with a gathered bust and antique brass look studs. The main body is black spotty semi see through lace with black faux leather studded shapes on the front. The back is plain black wet look. Oh and the strap is halterneck to give a flattering shape to the chest ;)

I'm wondering what people prefer: something completely unique and individual to them that no one else has OR to have their choice of alternative clothing made especially to fit them but is a repeated design? What do you prefer?! This week I made a couple new pairs of leggings. One is a custom one of a kind pair of leggings and the other is a repeated design available in regular and plus size.

The custom pair are made from black leather look lycra with patchwork panels of denim studded with antique look rust coloured studs, star print and black wet look lycra. They are a UK size 8/10.

Now these leggings are available custom made to fit any size up to a hip of 44 inches. They too are made from black leather look and feature sexy black lace side panels, which lace up with black ribbon and tie into bows at the calf.

While I love making unique one of a kind pairs of leggings as they are special and individual to the person that takes them home, I also love being able to custom make my leggings to fit, so that the customer knows they will have a good fitting pair even if they are between sizes and especially for plus size ladies who struggle to find any unique and fun pairs of leggings that are available in plus sizes.

I'd be interested to hear anyone's thoughts on this, would you rather something no one else has? Or something that is made especially with your shape and size in mind, but isn't a unique design?

New Custom Colour Lace Up Top!

I've just listed a new top and it's available in regular and plus size. Not only that but you can also pick your own colour! The one I made is black and purple, but I can also make it with silver, blue or pink instead of purple.

The bust is made from black wet look, with silver studded faux black leather middle piece and a stretchy black halter neck strap for a comfy fit. The main part of the top is made with shimmery metallic overlaid with cute black polka dot lace. The bottom hem is also made from stretchy wet look black lycra and running down each side are faux leather strips with silver eyelets and black ribbon lace up detail.

New Purple Leopard & Lace Punk Leggings

I've just listed a couple new pairs of patchwork leggings for sale. They are both one of a kind unique pairs but this time I made them a bit larger than normal, as I've had so many requests for my one of a kind clothing in larger sizes. Obviously the reason I dont normally do this is because it's difficult to model bigger sizes but I made them work somehow!

The first pair are available in a UK size 12/14 and are made from gorgeous purple leopard print with panels of black gothic stretch lace and black cotton with a super stretchy elasticized waistband. The design on the front and back are different, I kinda wish I'd left the back of them plain black as I think there's too much going on but hopefully people will still like them!

The second pair are black and white stripey patchwork leggings, made from 10 alternate stripes of black and white cotton lycra which is really comfortable to wear. The seams are on the outside to give them more of a punk feel. They will fit a UK size 12/14/16 and as you can see they are quite long so do best going to a girl on the taller side :)

Plus Size Alternative Clothing

Lately I've been getting the feeling that not many people are actually aware that I make plus size alternative clothing as well as for smaller sizes. A lot of confusion comes about I think, because I also make some one of a kind items such as those in my more recent posts...these ARE only available in smaller sizes. This is purely because I always have a lot of off cuts from older fabrics that are no longer available to me and I only have enough fabric left to make one item from them. And so obviously cant repeat the design when the fabric isnt being made anymore!

The only reason they are all in smaller sizes is purely down to ease (or laze some might say) as I can model them myself with minimum expense of time! I've been doing this a lot lately since moving to a new place where I have a lot less storage space than where I used to be, so I need to use up some fabric otherwise it'll just end up in a landfill, which needless to say...doesn't sit well on my conscience :S

As I've been posting a lot of these one of a kind items lately on Facebook, I think many people are mislead into thinking I'm harsh on larger sizes and only make clothes for small people....

This isn't the case at all! In fact the vast majority of my clothing I hand make from scratch as and when it is ordered by you lovely people. I make it especially to fit your own measurements to ensure it fits good. AND that includes plus sizes! The reason I refer to these items separately as plus size clothing, is that I do unfortunately have to charge more for the larger sizes, to cover fabrics and other extra material costs and so I have two separate listings for these to cater for the different pricings.

Corset dresses, mini skirts, fishtail skirts, long sleeved gothic tops and corset belts are just a few of the things I have available to plus size alternative ladies at the moment. So please don't be discouraged by my recent work, it's nothing against larger sizes, I'm just trying to make some extra money from fabrics that would otherwise have gone in the bin.

In keeping with my recent theme of pencil skirts I made another new one this morning, well two in fact, because I made it in a small and a larger size! I had a rare spark of motivation last night but was too tired to start sewing late at night, so instead was up bright and early at 6am to start sewing today...on a Sunday. Yeah I love my job that much.

Okay so anyway I made a gothic pencil skirt, which I want to say is high waisted but I guess depending on the size of your lower waist, could be warn either way! It's made from black super soft and weighty high quality velvety velour, (which is super comfy and stretchy), with black floral lace panels down each side, which are finished with (yes you guessed it) a lace up panel using silver eyelets and ribbon which tie into bows at the knee. The lace panels are see through enough to add some daring sex appeal but still give the comfort of being fairly covered up! The elasticated waistband and bottom hem are both made from the same velvet velour stuff and the lace up panels have some strips of black wet look thrown in to add a bit of excitement.

As the fabric is really stretchy, the skirts can be warn by a wide size range. I've made a smaller skirt which will fit around a UK 8/10 and also a smaller size 12. And the larger skirt will fit sizes 14/16 and a smaller 18. Measurements are as below...

Sexy Gothic Zebra Lace Up Pencil Skirt!

Today I had a couple of orders to finish up and I also made a new skirt. I'm really loving the lace up sides pencil skirt that I made in my previous post so I thought I'd try out a few fabric/colour combos. This one is also a high waisted pencil skirt (although I guess it can be warn lower down if you like!) and is made from the very last pieces of pink zebra print lycra that I has left, overlayed with black paisley patterned lace. The skirt has daringly bare sides with large size eyelets and black ribbon lace ups. The elasticated waistband and the bottom hem are made from really comfortable and stretchy black spandex lycra. This along with the adjustable lace up sides means this skirt can be warn by lots of sizes, starting from a uk 8 and up to around a 12/14. The measurements are:

I'm still trying to use up some of my older fabric before I invest in some exciting new stuff. I have so many different fabrics but not enough of any of them to make something whole, so I'm just mixing and matching different pieces and seeing what I come up with. So here's a super sexy, figure hugging pencil skirt I made this morning! It's high waisted and made from black semi wet look lycra with red pot hole fishnet panels down each side. The panels are studded with large silver eyelets, which lace up with black ribbon and tie into bows at the knee. The elasticated waistband and bottom hem of the skirt are made from hi shine, glossy black wet look lycra. The skirt fits a uk size 8/10 with the below measurements...

Also after finally finding some similar fabric I've been able to update the zebra print leggings in my shop with a new and improved version, after the original fabric went out of stock months and months ago. These are actually the most comfortable leggings I've ever worn, they are made from a light, silky soft zebra print stretch, ideal for warmer weather. They're so stretchy and comfy that it barely feels like you're wearing them.

Rock Chick One Of A Kind Stuff :)

So this week I've been doing a bit of scrap busting, in attempt to make room for new fabric. Alas it seems no matter how many scraps I use up, I barely make a dent in the mound of fabric pieces that is rapidly growing out of my storage cupboard and spilling across my whole studio....Well at least I tried!

These are one of a kind pieces of clothing, since the whole point is to use up fabric that I can no longer get hold of for regular items and is just sitting about doing nothing.

The first is a glam rock inspired studded zebra print top with lace up back. It is made from stretchy hot pink and black zebra print stretchy lycra fabric which is overlaid in the middle and at the back with glittery sparkle see through mesh and the front is decorated with black faux leather strips, studded with small round silver metal studs. The top has a stretchy zebra print halter neck strap and the back has a corset style lace up fastening with large silver metal eyelets. This can be adjusted to fit from a size 10 up to size 14, with the below measurements...

*BUST: 33"-38", *WAIST 26"-32", *LOW WAIST 28"-33"

Today I finally finished a corset top that I started working on weeks ago. I ordered a ton of eyelets, ribbon and other supplies which I've been waiting on and which, might I add still haven't come...*sigh* anyway I've been holding off buying the bits I need elsewhere each day hoping the supplies will turn up "today" but I finally gave in and bought them from my other supplier. I should have done this in the first place but it seems dumb buying more stuff at a higher price when I've already got a bulk order of it on the way :(

Anyways here's the top. It's a gothic, rocker spikey black faux leather corset top with lace up sides. The front of the top features a zipper fastening and is stiffened with steel boning to prevent the zipper from folding. The front and back of the top are not actually attached, but lace up together with ribbon and large silver eyelets down each side. This can be adjusted quite a lot, as can the matching lace up straps of the top, to fit according to size. So this means that the top can actually fit a wide range of sizes, from a size 8 up to 12. The bottom hem of the top is cut in a unique spike design on both front and back and the bust is decorated with small silver pyramid studs.
